Self-Care Tool: Journaling


I use journaling everyday as a form of self-care.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀


I am a very visual person, so when my thoughts are racing because I am overwhelmed, I can feel foggy and unclear on how to go about them and can easily spiral down into a state of panic. When I write my thoughts out on paper, I am bringing those words into reality in a way where I can look at them from an observer perspective and navigate the course from the eagle’s nest.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀


My journal also holds me accountable. Besides free writing my thoughts, I use my journal to keep a record of habits and set goals. Each morning I write down an intention to bring back with me in all I do that day. I set work and self-care goals for myself. I also record eating, exercise and sleep habits. Doing this allows me to see trends in my behaviors and I can make adjustments where I feel called.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀


My journal routine gives my visual mind a clear guide of the day ahead. While things might not always go according to plan, having a visual keeps me focused and intentional and able to get back on track more easily when life happens. It also keeps my mind at ease because having a plan helps me to feel safe as I always know what the next step is, and I don’t have to worry how I will manage all of the things in my busy life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We will meditate as a group, share from the heart, tap into ourselves and our togetherness, set intentions, practice gratitude and learn new holistic tools we can use for our own mental and emotional wellness.

At Our Weekly Check-In Hour:


Last night, Sentinel of the Rain Victor Padilla hosted our Check-In Hour. He les us through a beautiful meditation to be with all of it.


We had strong themes of Surrender while on our call, and remembering that this human experience is full of ups and downs and we are here to show up for all of it.


Victor pulled The Queen of Swords for us. This card speaks of comfortability in our choices.
